What is capture velocity and why does it matter?
It is the air speed at the point where contaminant is actually generated. A hood that looks adequate but does not achieve capture velocity at the source lets fumes escape into the room, where the general ventilation system is then left diluting a load it was never sized for. We design the hood around the source, not the other way round.
How is this equipment shipped to South Africa?
Shipped FOB Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or Mundra to Durban, Cape Town and Ngqura, with inland movement to Gauteng. Export packing is specified for the route and handling conditions, and documentation is prepared as part of the order rather than after it. Spares and consumables are normally shipped with the consignment so a replacement part does not become a separate small shipment later.
Do you provide SABS / NRCS documentation for South Africa?
Yes. We prepare the product technical documentation, test data and declarations needed to support the applicable SANS route including Letter of Authority applications, and we work alongside the customer's appointed conformity assessment body. The certificate itself is issued by the accredited body rather than by the manufacturer, so our role is to prepare and support the file so the consignment is not held at port.
