Air Care System & Solution India Pvt. Ltd. exports industrial cooling, ventilation, ducting and exhaust equipment to South Africa, supplying automotive plants, mining and minerals operations, food processors, steel and engineering works, contractors and distributors across Johannesburg, Germiston, Wadeville, Rosslyn, Durban, Pinetown, Cape Town, Epping and Gqeberha.
South Africa's two main industrial regions need opposite specifications. The Gauteng Highveld around Johannesburg and Pretoria is hot and dry through summer at altitude, which is an excellent climate for direct evaporative cooling - large temperature drops at low running cost, and the fresh-air supply solves ventilation at the same time. The KwaZulu-Natal coast around Durban and Pinetown is hot and humid, where indirect-direct systems and HVLS air movement are the right answer. Given the pressure on electricity supply and tariffs in South Africa, the low connected load of evaporative and HVLS systems is a significant part of their appeal.
| Johannesburg / Highveld | 30-34°C summer with low humidity - strong DEC case |
| Durban / KZN coast | 30-33°C with 70-80% relative humidity |
| Cape Town | warm dry summer, moderate humidity |
| Recommended systems | DEC inland; IDEC and HVLS on the KZN coast |
The Highveld's dry summer air gives direct evaporative cooling a wide wet-bulb depression to work with, so a well-designed system in Germiston or Rosslyn achieves a substantial drop on a fan-and-pump load rather than a compressor load. That matters in a market where electricity cost and supply reliability are live commercial issues. On the KZN coast the specification shifts to indirect-direct cooling and HVLS air movement, and in mining and minerals work the driver is usually dust and fume extraction with adequate designed make-up air rather than temperature at all.
Direct evaporative coolers are well matched to the Gauteng Highveld, where hot dry summer air delivers a large temperature drop on a fan-and-pump load - a meaningful advantage in a market where electricity cost and supply reliability are commercial issues. Indirect-direct evaporative and adiabatic systems are specified for Durban, Pinetown and the humid KwaZulu-Natal coast, and for inland applications where moisture addition would affect the process, together with pre-cooling for existing air-cooled chiller plant. HVLS fans are supplied for automotive assembly halls at Rosslyn, Prospecton and Coega, for mining workshops and change houses, and for the high-bay logistics facilities across Gauteng, providing destratification and air movement at very low connected load. Read more about High Volume Low Speed Fans (HVLS Fans).
Factory fabricated ducting in GI, stainless steel and aluminium is manufactured to drawing and export-packed for Durban, Cape Town and Ngqura, supplied with insulated PUF sandwich panels and modular enclosures for food and controlled-area work. Read more about Factory Fabricated Ducting & Metal Ducting.
Mining, minerals processing, steel and chemical operations need dust and fume extraction built for abrasive and corrosive service. We design capture at source, select duct material against the exposure and size the make-up air path so the system performs to design. Read more about Industrial Exhaust & Fume Extraction Systems.
Shipped FOB Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or Mundra to Durban, Cape Town and Ngqura, with inland movement to Gauteng. Export packing, documentation and shipping schedules are confirmed at order stage, and we supply spares and consumables such as cooling media on an ongoing basis so a replacement part never becomes a separate small consignment.
Our supply, installation and service coverage across South Africa includes:
We also cover Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Gqeberha, Richards Bay from the same team.
