Manufacturer, Supplier & Exporter of Evaporative Cooling Systems for Africa.
We design and manufacture two-stage evaporative air cooling systems, indirect-direct (IDEC) systems and Oxycom adiabatic solutions for industrial and commercial buildings. Indirect-direct evaporative and Oxycom adiabatic systems are specified for humid coastal locations including Lagos, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam and Durban, where a direct cooler cannot deliver a useful drop and cooling must be achieved without adding moisture.
Sites across Kenya - Nairobi, Mombasa, Athi River, Nigeria - Lagos, Kano, Port Harcourt and South Africa - Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town work against dry inland (highveld, northern nigeria) of hot, low humidity - DEC performs strongly, and the indirect route is what makes cooling workable in Lagos, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam and Durban, while inland markets can use simpler equipment. Our recommendation for Africa is specified per site, not per continent, and every installation is sized against that rather than against a catalogue figure.
Two-stage evaporative cooling with considerably less moisture addition than a direct system
Indirect stage cools through a heat exchanger, so supply air gains no water vapour
Reduced air quantity requirement, typically by around 40% against an equivalent direct system
Correspondingly smaller ducting quantity and lower distribution cost
Benefits
Optimal power consumption – closer to air conditioning comfort at evaporative running cost
Lower capital and operating expenditure than a comparable refrigerant installation
Oxycom pre-cooling recovers capacity on existing air-cooled chillers running past design ambient
Applications in Africa
Food, beverage & agro processing – IDEC and adiabatic systems for processing and packing halls where humidity control matters to the product.
Mining & minerals processing – IDEC supply for processing plant control areas, workshops and change houses.
Cement & building materials – Indirect cooling for control rooms, laboratories and manned plant areas in a high-dust environment.
Textiles, weaving & processing – IDEC systems for weaving and processing halls where humidity is already high and direct cooling underperforms.
Warehousing & logistics – IDEC supply for picking and value-added areas where moisture addition would risk stored goods.
Working With Us in Africa
Over 35 years of manufacturing and more than 6,400 completed projects means most of what a site throws up has been seen before, and the design allows for it in advance. We manufacture from our own facilities at Pune, Hyderabad and Tirunelveli, and hold a 4.9 out of 5 rating from 33 Google reviews.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Oxycom pre-cooling for air-cooled chillers?
It is an adiabatic stage fitted ahead of an existing air-cooled chiller's condenser. By lowering the air temperature reaching the condenser, it recovers capacity and efficiency that the chiller loses when ambient temperature climbs past its design point – useful on plant that struggles in peak summer.
How is this equipment shipped to Africa?
Shipped FOB Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or Mundra to Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Lagos (Apapa / Tin Can Island), Tema, Durban and Ngqura. Export packing is specified for the route and handling conditions, and documentation is prepared as part of the order rather than after it. Spares and consumables are normally shipped with the consignment so a replacement part does not become a separate small shipment later.
Do you provide pre-export verification of conformity documentation for Africa?
Yes. We prepare the product technical documentation, test data and declarations needed to support the PVoC or equivalent scheme operated by the destination country, and we work alongside the customer's appointed conformity assessment body. The certificate itself is issued by the accredited body rather than by the manufacturer, so our role is to prepare and support the file so the consignment is not held at port.
