Manufacturer, Supplier & Exporter of HVLS Fans for Africa.
We manufacture and install High Volume Low Speed fans – large diameter industrial ceiling fans that move very large volumes of air slowly across a building. HVLS fans travel and perform well across every African market we serve. They suit large-span manufacturing, agro-processing halls, EPZ production floors and warehousing, and their low power draw matters particularly where grid supply is constrained or generation is on site.
Whether this is the right system for Africa depends on the local air rather than on the datasheet. With dry inland (highveld, northern nigeria) at hot, low humidity - DEC performs strongly and humid coastal (lagos, mombasa, dar, durban) at hot, 70-85% RH - IDEC and HVLS, low connected load is the deciding factor across much of the continent, where grid supply is constrained or power is generated on site. We cover Kenya - Nairobi, Mombasa, Athi River, Nigeria - Lagos, Kano, Port Harcourt, South Africa - Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and the wider Africa belt.
Covers around 16,000 sq ft per fan while drawing up to about 1.5 kW
Extruded aluminium aerofoil blades in 6061 T6, set at 27 degrees for optimum airflow and thrust
Nord high-efficiency motor and gearbox with Danfoss VFD speed control
Sound level below 45 dB, and reversible operation for seasonal use
Benefits
Running cost reductions of up to 80% against the fans replaced, with payback often inside six months
Destratifies high-bay buildings, evening out temperature from floor to roof
Layered anti-fall safety – secondary wire rope to the building structure, wire ropes embedded in the blades and dedicated hub brackets
Applications in Africa
Food, beverage & agro processing – Air movement across packing and dispatch halls, with reversible running for seasonal use.
Mining & minerals processing – Coverage of workshops, change houses and covered processing buildings at low connected load.
Cement & building materials – Air movement in packing plants, workshops and covered storage where dust and heat both collect.
Textiles, weaving & processing – Movement over long-span loom and stitching floors, improving comfort and reducing settled lint.
Warehousing & logistics – Destratification of high-bay racking, evening out temperature floor to roof and reducing condensation risk.
Working With Us in Africa
Design, fabrication, installation, commissioning and service are handled by one team rather than split across a supplier and a contractor, so there is a single point of accountability when something needs attention. We manufacture from our own facilities at Pune, Hyderabad and Tirunelveli, and hold a 4.9 out of 5 rating from 33 Google reviews.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can HVLS fans be used in winter as well as summer?
Yes. Reversible operation and VFD speed control mean the same fan can run slowly in reverse to push warm air down from roof level, which is where it collects. In heated buildings that considerably reduces the energy wasted warming the roof space.
How is this equipment shipped to Africa?
Shipped FOB Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or Mundra to Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Lagos (Apapa / Tin Can Island), Tema, Durban and Ngqura. Export packing is specified for the route and handling conditions, and documentation is prepared as part of the order rather than after it. Spares and consumables are normally shipped with the consignment so a replacement part does not become a separate small shipment later.
Do you provide pre-export verification of conformity documentation for Africa?
Yes. We prepare the product technical documentation, test data and declarations needed to support the PVoC or equivalent scheme operated by the destination country, and we work alongside the customer's appointed conformity assessment body. The certificate itself is issued by the accredited body rather than by the manufacturer, so our role is to prepare and support the file so the consignment is not held at port.
